There are many fiction books on campus. You can use Scout to search for a title, author, or keyword, then use the limiters on the left side of the page to narrow your results by source type (Books, eBooks) or subject (for example, Vampires -- Fiction). You can also limit your search to a specific location, like Gorgas.
In Gorgas Library, most literature is located on the third floor. There is also a new books section on the first floor (on the west side, near the fireplace).
McLure Education Library's School Library Collection includes many children's and young adult fiction and non-fiction books.
There are some fun collections- like comics and zines- at Hoole Special Collections Library.
If the book you'd like isn't available in the Libraries, you can request a copy via Interlibrary Loan.
That being said, our collection is primarily academic, so I highly recommend you check out the Tuscaloosa Public Library for more pleasure reading options. If you live off-campus and have proof of local address, you can get a TPL card at no charge with picture ID and proof of your current local address. On-campus students may get a card for a one-time, refundable $10 deposit.
Please let us know if we can help you find something fun to read.
