The process of thesis moving to ProQuest Dissertations and Thesis is managed by the the Graduate School Registrar’s office. However, once the thesis has been uploaded to the ProQuest Dissertations and Thesis database, it will be available from UA Libraries.

Manuscripts that have been approved for publication are sent ProQuest the week after the last day to award degrees each semester. Publication timing is based on the Degree Completion Deadline that is on the Academic Calendar for each semester, not on the student’s defense date.

Once the manuscript is approved for publication and sent to ProQuest, it can take between 4-6 weeks for it to appear in the ProQuest Dissertations and Thesis online database, as ProQuest will need to optimize the manuscript for search and discovery.

If you have additional questions about the process with ProQuest, please contact the the Graduate School Registrar’s office.
