This is an electronic reference service that provides instant answers to many frequently asked questions. It is one of several ways to contact the UA Libraries.
Who can use this service?
This service is primarily for users affiliated with the University of Alabama; however, we will answer any questions pertaining to our libraries, collections, and services.
Who staffs this service and when will I receive a response?
Librarians will answer questions submitted Monday-Friday, 8am-2pm within 3 hours (often within a few minutes). During evenings, weekends, holidays, or breaks, you may have to wait longer for a response. Our goal is to answer all questions within 24 hours. For immediate assistance during operating hours, please call the Gorgas Library Information Desk at 205-348-6047.
Are there any questions you won't answer?
We cannot provide medical or legal advice. We also can't interpret your assignments or do them for for you.
