To request an item that is checked out, you can submit an interlibrary loan request by clicking through the "request this" link in Scout,

or the "request item" link in the classic catalog.

Login to the ILL system and make a request for "Copy" on the left side of the page. Fill out the book's information and click submit.

You will be notified when the item is returned, or we will procure it for you from another institution through ILL, then you'll be notified when the item is ready for pick up.

If your request was not submitted successfully, you may wish to contact Circulation Services for help. You can reach them at 205-348-9748 or by visiting the circulation desk at any library.
