Yes, UA Libraries offers community access.

If you want to check out materials, you can purchase a Bama Borrower's Card at the Gorgas Library Circulation Desk or the Health Science Library.

If you want to print, you can purchase a $5 preloaded Community User Card from the Circulation Desks of Gorgas, Bruno, and Rodgers Libraries. Rodgers has limited hours of purchase based on staff availability.

Purchase of a Bama Borrower card or Community User card is cash-only outside of regular business hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm).

Note that remote access to our databases is limited to individuals with active status as student or employee at UA. For access to electronic resources including databases, please visit us in person at UA Libraries. Stop by the Circulation Desk to request a temporary username and password for use on a public computer.  Public use computers are located near the Circulation Desk on the 2nd Floor of Gorgas Library.

All visitors to the University Libraries are expected to uphold the Code Of Conduct.
