The amount of time that you can keep a book checked out depends on your user group:

  • Undergraduate students: 30 days
  • Faculty: Fixed due dates of February 1, June 1, and October 1
  • Retired Faculty, Administrative and Professional Staff, Graduate Students: Fixed due dates of February 1, June 1, and October 1
  • Staff Active & Retired, Visiting Scholar, Adjuncts, Special Faculty (ie. Geological Survey), System Employees Staff: Fixed due dates of February 1, June 1, and October 1
  • Borrower's Card patrons: 30 days

Other types of materials have different loan periods. For a complete list of loan periods, as well as information about how many items you can check out at a time, please review our Borrowing page.

Please note that an item you have checked out may be recalled by another user at anytime.  If that happens, you need to return the item within 10 days of the date of the notice.
